Role Description

As a Locum Dentist, you will be responsible for providing a full range of dental services to patients while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. You will work as part of a supportive team to deliver both NHS and private dental care, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of patients. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating dental conditions, advising on oral health, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments.
• Provide oral health advice and preventative care to patients.
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions, maintaining a patient-focused approach.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and maintain compliance with CQC and GDC standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the practice’s dental software.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide a seamless patient experience.
• Uphold the practice’s reputation for delivering high-quality care and service.

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• NHS performer number (preferred but not essential).
• Professional indemnity insurance.
• Proven experience in a dental surgery setting, with a track record of delivering excellent patient care.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical excellence and adhering to industry regulations.

Skills and Experience

• Proficient in general dentistry, including restorative and preventative treatments.
• Familiarity with digital dental systems and record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Working Hours

This is a locum position with flexible working hours to suit both the candidate and the practice. Shifts may vary and will be agreed upon in advance.

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive daily rate of £450–£500, depending on experience.
• Paid per UDA, with a negotiable target based on preferences and availability.
