We’re looking for compassionate and experienced live-in carers to provide dedicated support to our clients in their own homes. This role involves offering personalized care, ensuring the wellbeing of those you care for. Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, and medication administration. You will live with the client, offering round-the-clock support and building a strong bond with them. With full training provided, you’ll enhance your skills and confidence, making a meaningful impact on someone’s life from day one.

Key Responsibilities

As a Live-In Carer with Nouveau Care, your responsibilities will include:
– Providing live-in domiciliary care and support
– Encouraging independence while assisting with daily tasks
– Personal care, including hygiene and dressing
– Medication support and monitoring
– Meal preparation and nutritional support
– Housekeeping and home support tasks
– Supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other chronic conditions
– Offering palliative care when needed
– Supporting clients recovering from strokes or other medical conditions
– Assistance for clients with learning disabilities and mental health needs

Requirements

Skills and Experience

We require at least 1 year of previous care experience for this role. Our live-in care positions are ideal for individuals with a background in hospital care, community support, or care home environments. We also welcome candidates with strong interpersonal skills who have gained their experience through caring for a relative or in similar caregiving roles.

– Minimum 1 year of healthcare or care experience is essential
– Backgrounds in community support, care homes, or hospital care are ideal
– A driving license and access to a car is advantageous but not essential
– Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is beneficial
– NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care is beneficial
– Training to Care Certificate standards is advantageous
– Visa sponsorship is available for UK-based and overseas candidates
– Must be willing to relocate and fulfil placements across UK

As a Live-In Carer, you will live with the client, providing care and support throughout the day and night. You will typically work for a set number of days followed by scheduled days off to rest and recharge. This pattern offers consistency, enabling you to plan your time effectively.
