We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Locum Dentist to provide high-quality care and support the surgery’s operational needs.

Role Description
As a Locum Dentist, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of dental treatments while maintaining the highest levels of patient care. This includes diagnosing and managing dental conditions, providing preventative advice, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the practice’s ongoing success in both NHS and private dental care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
• Provide advice on oral health and preventative care to patients.
• Diagnose and manage dental conditions with a focus on patient well-being.
• Ensure compliance with GDC, CQC, and practice protocols.
• Record patient information accurately using the practice’s digital systems.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain the practice’s reputation for delivering excellent service.

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• NHS performer number (preferred but not essential).
• Professional indemnity insurance.
• Demonstrated experience in a dental surgery setting, delivering high standards of care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in general dentistry, including restorative and preventative treatments.
• Proficiency in using digital dental software for record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.

Working Hours
This locum position offers flexible working hours tailored to suit both the dentist and the practice’s requirements. Shifts will be agreed upon prior to placement.

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive daily rate ranging from £450–£500, depending on experience.
