Known for its strong community ties and modern facilities, the practice is committed to delivering exceptional dental care in a friendly and professional environment.

We are currently seeking a Locum Dentist to join the team on a flexible basis, supporting ongoing patient demand while contributing to the continued excellence of the service.

Role Overview
As a Locum Dentist, you will provide a full range of general dental treatments to a loyal patient base, ensuring high clinical standards and patient satisfaction. You’ll be supported by an experienced team and have access to state-of-the-art equipment in a modern, well-run surgery in the heart of Islington.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver general and restorative dental treatments, including examinations, fillings, and extractions

• Offer oral health advice and preventative care to patients

• Diagnose and manage dental conditions with a patient-centred approach

• Maintain accurate clinical records using digital software

• Ensure full compliance with GDC, CQC, and practice standards

• Collaborate effectively with dental nurses, hygienists, and administrative staff

• Contribute to the positive reputation of the practice in the Islington community

Essential Requirements

• GDC registration

• Professional indemnity insurance

• Experience working in a dental surgery environment

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• A commitment to high standards and regulatory compliance

Preferred:

• NHS Performer Number (desirable but not essential)

Skills and Attributes

• Comfortable with digital dental systems

• Confident delivering general dentistry with attention to detail

• Friendly, professional, and adaptable within a busy clinical setting

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

Working Hours
Flexible shifts available to suit both the dentist and the practice. Days and hours will be agreed upon prior to placement.

Salary and Benefits

• Daily rate of £450–£500, depending on experience

• UDA-based pay options with negotiable targets
