We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Dentist to provide high-quality dental care on a flexible basis.

Role Overview
As a Locum Dentist in Hackney, you will deliver a broad range of general and preventative dental treatments, supporting the team in maintaining excellent service standards. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with access to modern equipment, digital systems, and a well-organised appointment book.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and restorative dental care, including check-ups, fillings, and extractions

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative treatments

• Diagnose and manage dental conditions in line with best clinical practice

• Maintain accurate, digital patient records

• Ensure compliance with GDC, CQC, and practice policies

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary dental team

• Maintain a friendly, professional approach to enhance the patient experience

Essential Requirements

• GDC registration

• Professional indemnity insurance

• Experience in NHS and/or private dental settings

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A patient-focused approach to dentistry

Preferred:

• NHS Performer Number (desirable but not essential)

Skills and Attributes

• Confident in general dentistry and patient management

• Familiarity with digital record-keeping systems

• Ability to adapt to a busy, multicultural patient environment

• Organised, efficient, and responsive to patient needs

Working Hours
Flexible working options are available. Days and shifts will be arranged based on mutual availability and practice demand.

Pay and Benefits

• Competitive daily rate: £450–£500 (DOE)

• UDA-based pay available, with negotiable targets
