Nouveau Care is working in partnership with a reputable mixed NHS/private dental practice based in Southwark, a central London borough known for its vibrant communities, historic landmarks, and excellent transport connections. The practice is dedicated to delivering high standards of care in a supportive, modern setting, with a strong local patient base and an experienced clinical team.

We are currently seeking a Locum Dentist to support the practice’s patient demand and ensure high-quality care continuity.

Role Overview
As a Locum Dentist in Southwark, you’ll deliver a broad range of general dental treatments to NHS and private patients, offering a professional, reassuring experience for everyone you treat. You’ll work alongside a friendly team of dental professionals and have access to digital systems and up-to-date equipment to support your work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical examinations, routine treatments, and minor dental surgery such as fillings, extractions, and preventative care

• Offer oral health education and guidance to promote long-term patient wellbeing

• Keep detailed, accurate records using digital dental software

• Ensure compliance with GDC and CQC regulations as well as internal policies

• Work collaboratively with dental nurses and reception staff to provide a seamless care experience

• Uphold the practice’s strong reputation for professionalism and patient care

Essential Requirements

• GDC registration

• Professional indemnity insurance

• Experience delivering general dentistry in NHS or mixed settings

• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

• High attention to detail and patient-focused approach

Preferred:

• NHS Performer Number (preferred but not essential)

Skills and Attributes

• Skilled in general dentistry, including restorative and preventative procedures

• Comfortable using digital record-keeping and dental systems

• Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to new environments

• Collaborative mindset with a caring, approachable manner

Working Hours
Shifts are flexible and can be tailored to suit your availability, with days and hours agreed in advance.

Pay and Benefits

• Daily rate: £450–£500 depending on experience

• UDA-based payment option available with negotiable targets
