We are seeking a qualified and reliable Locum Dentist to provide top-tier dental care while covering the surgery’s operational needs.

Role Description

As a Locum Dentist, you will deliver a wide range of dental treatments while ensuring patient care is prioritized at all times. You will diagnose, treat, and manage various dental conditions, provide preventative advice, and maintain accurate clinical records. Working alongside a supportive team, you will contribute to the practice’s ongoing commitment to high-quality care for both NHS and private patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and complex dental procedures, including check-ups, restorations, and extractions.
• Offer preventative care advice and promote good oral health to patients.
• Diagnose and manage dental conditions with a patient-centered approach.
• Maintain compliance with CQC, GDC, and practice standards.
• Use the practice’s dental software to record patient information accurately.
• Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Uphold the practice’s high standards for patient satisfaction and care.

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• NHS performer number (preferred but not essential).
• Valid professional indemnity insurance.
• Previous experience in a dental surgery environment with a focus on delivering excellent patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and adherence to industry regulations.

Skills and Experience

• Competence in general dentistry, including preventative and restorative treatments.
• Familiarity with digital dental systems for patient record-keeping.
• Ability to function effectively in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management.

Working Hours

This locum position offers flexibility in working hours to suit both the candidate and the practice’s requirements. Shifts will be agreed upon in advance.

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive daily rate of £450–£500, based on experience.
• Pay-per-UDA arrangement with negotiable targets to suit your availability.
