Job Title: Registered Children’s Residential Home Manager

Salary: £47,000 – £50,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)

Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Registered Children’s Residential Home Manager to lead a home for children and young people aged 8-18 with Learning Difficulties and/or Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. This role requires a strong and energetic leader who is committed to achieving the best outcomes for vulnerable young people.
You will play a pivotal role in recruiting and managing a new team, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for the children. While challenging at times, this role offers immense personal and professional rewards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of a children’s residential home.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a new team of care staff.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation.
- Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and structured environment for children.
- Develop individual care plans and oversee their implementation.
- Maintain effective communication with families, external agencies, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure high-quality care is provided consistently.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Skills and Experience
- Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a children’s residential home.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Organised and able to multitask effectively.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience managing a children’s home.
Working Hours
- Full-time, with flexibility required to meet the needs of the home.
